Common Queries

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently only accepting self-pay. I do not accept insurance.

Before our initial session, we ask clients to verify their insurance plan's coverage for Mental Health Services. We can offer a Superbill, however, please note that a Superbill does not guarantee reimbursement.

How long does each therapy session take?

Typically assessment sessions will last on average 60-90 minutes, depending on family history and previous therapeutic experiences you've had. I like to gather as much information as possible in that first session.
Individual sessions will last on average 50-55 minutes.
Emergency sessions will last around 50-55 minutes.
EMERGENCY SESSIONS ARE FOR CURRENT CLIENTS ONLY

What should I expect from each session?

Assessment sessions are typically the longest as I will ask a variety of questions. Those questions range from what's bringing you into therapy, family history, trauma history, past therapy experiences, and much more. I always end those sessions by giving you at least one to two coping skills in case anything we spoke about was triggering.
Individual sessions are, for whatever you want them to be. We can talk about whatever is on your mind, coping skills, daily stress, past trauma, ways to reach your goals, and whatever else comes up for you during the process of therapy.
Emergency sessions are for clients who are experiencing mental health crises that are at risk of possibly harming themselves or someone else. This session will be about assessing safety.

What therapies do you use?

I use a variety of techniques with my clients as I believe that not every therapeutic technique is going to work for every client. I pull from different therapies and use them according to my client's needs and what is and what isn't working for them in regards to their treatment.
I do pull a lot from Internal Family systems and DBT, however, I still go based on my clients needs.

What is the Good Faith Estimate?

Providers and facilities must:

  • Provide the good faith estimate before an item or service is scheduled, within certain time frames.

  • Offer an itemized list of each item or service, grouped by the provider or facility offering care. Each item or service has to have specific details, like the health care code assigned to it and the expected charge.

  • Explain the good faith estimate to you over the phone or in-person if you request it, and then follow up with a written (paper or electronic) estimate.

  • Provide the good faith estimate in a way that’s accessible to you.

  • You can request a Good Faith Estimate on the CMS website.

I submitted a request to become a client, but haven't heard back.

I try my best to respond to new client emails within 2 business days.
If you haven't received a response, I recommend checking your spam folder as my response may have been sent there.
If you sent the email request on a Friday or over the weekend a response will be sent that following week as Rebellious Therapy is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
